According to Best Friends Animal Society, shelters in the U.S. killed roughly 355,000
dogs and cats in 2021. That number was up from 347,000 killed in 2020.
Five States Were Responsible For 50% Of Shelter Euthanasia in 2021: Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Our mission is to help reduce the number of dogs and cats relinquished by their owners to City & County Animal Shelters. We focus our attention on animal ownership retention by providing those who are financially struggling with free spay and neuter surgeries, vaccines, and emergency medical care.
Spaying and neutering makes a big difference: Just one unaltered female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in only six years. In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can produce an incredible 370,000 kittens!
